Jang Min-ho Chosen as National Taekwondo Competitor

On July 17 to 22, there was a contest for selecting national taekwondo competitors for the Summer Universiad which will be held in Chungcheongnam-do in Cheongyang-gun. Through this contest, student Jang Min-ho, majoring in the Department of Taekwondo at Keimyung University, was chosen, winning the first prize in the man's 63kg class. The contest was supported by Korea University Taekwondo Federation.

The purpose of the contest was to select national taekwondo competitors for the Summer Universiad that will be held from August 12 in Shenzhen, China. Lots of teams form all over the world participated in the competition. Furthermore, Choi Hyun-Ah, won the third prize in the category of woman's 67kg class in Taekwondo Gyeorugi .

In Taekwondo's Gyeorugi part, only 16 students were selected to be national taekwondo competitors. Among them, only 3 students came from outside of Seoul universities. Jang Min Ho was one of them.

Jang Min Ho said, "Above all, my thanks goes to my professors, coaches and Keimyung university for their great support. I participated in this contest without any expectation but I'm glad to have achieved a good result."
