The Influence team (Dept. of Industrial Design) won the prize at IF Concept Award 2011 for two years in a row. IF Design Awards is known as one of the world’s top three design awards along with Germany’s IDEA and Red Dot.

The WARMER INSOLES are a kind of heel insert which can heat itself. When it is pressed on by a foot, it generates heat from its piezo-electric element, and stores the heat in the heel insert. It was awarded many points for its 'Sustainable Design'.

In IF Concept Award 2011, 50 people from all over the world submitted about 800 projects, and the winner was provided an exhibition at CEBIT, which is the biggest information and communications technology exhibition in Germany. On May 20th, an awards ceremony will be held at YODEX in Taiwan along with other special exhibitions.
