Kwak Sung-woo, a professor from the Dept. of Electronic Engineering, along with Prof. Yang Jeong-min from the Catholic University of Daegu, was congratulated at IEEM (International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management) 2010, which was held in December at the Venetian Macao Hotel.

IEEM, which is held by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), is an international symposium which gathers global experts of industrial, management, and reliability engineering to exchange scholarships through a keynote address, presentation, and a high-tech industry exhibition program. Five hundred theses were presented by fifty countries.

The title of Prof. Kwak’s thesis was ‘Schedulability and Optimal Checkpoint Placement for Real-Time Multi-Tasks.’ He said, “I was pleased to represent Keimyung University in front of international academics and I will endeavor to continue my work.”
