Opening the Autonomic Nervous Clinic

On February 8th, Dongsan Hospital announced that they established the nation’s first autonomic nerve clinic, which diagnoses and treats problems of the autonomic nervous system systemically.

The problems caused by the autonomic nervous system include common symptoms such as cold hands and feet, excess or insufficient sweating, indigestion, and dizziness. However, until now, there wasn’t a hospital which diagnoses and treats such problems comprehensively in Korea.

Dongsan Hospital opened the clinic at the department of neurology, on the 8th floor of the main building, and has the only Finapress tonometry in the world, which takes a patient’s blood pressure in real time, and the QSART (Quantitative Sudomotor Axon Reflex Test) equipment which measures the degree of perspiration by irritating a sweat gland.
