Special Lecture about Learning English

Johnny Chun, who was the interpreter of former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, gave a special lecture on November, 10 at Euiyang Hall.

The subject of the lecture was ‘How to study English?’. He told students before starting the lecture, “Don’t think that English is difficult. Believe you can do it. Although I couldn’t talk with foreigners, I am teaching English now. Make your dream come true.”

He said that ‘how’ is more important than ‘what’ in studying English and he also said that when you study English, follow this order: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. In addition, he stressed that students should use native speakers’ news and magazines for learning English, not books made for Koreans.

Finally, he told students, “English is a really good chance to achieve your dream, and have confidence in yourself!”
