KMU Student Selected for 2010 ECA Program


On April 19, Oh Jong-min, a junior in the Department of English Language and Literature, was selected for the Korean Undergraduate Student Leaders program of the U.S. State Department. Seven students were selected from all parts of the country, and Oh Jong-min is the only successful candidate in Daegu. Keimyung University has had a successful candidate for the Korean Undergraduate Student Leaders program for three years in a row. Oh Jong-min said, “I have studied a lot for this program and attended workshops conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.”

This program is conducted by the U.S Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Oh Jong-min will spend five weeks in Washington, New York, and other cities in July, participating in leadership, history, cultural education, and mutual exchange programs with local students. ECA sponsors all the expenses.
