On December 2, the 2009 Posco Campus Symphony Festival was held in Keimyung Art Center. The Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Gum Nan-se provided the chance for Keimyung students and faculty and local residents to experience the artistic performance. This festival had already been held in Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Kwangwoon Universtiy, and Kyung Hee University.

In the performance, Professor Lee Hwa-young of the College of Music and Performing Arts sang soprano, and Professor Kim Jung-hwa of the Deptartment of Practical Music Education sang mezzo soprano. They were joined by tenor Ha Seok-bae and baritone Kim Seung-Chul, professors in the Department of Voice. Keimyung Orchestra and the Keimyung Chorus accompanied the Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, “Choral” Op. 125: IV. Presto – Allegro assai – Andante maestoso – Allegro energico.

Maestro Gum Nan-se’s commentary and the performance lasted one and a half hours, and many people from Keimyung and local residents enjoyed it.
