Spring Concert


On March 26, a spring concert by Rinnai Pops Orchestra was held in Keimyung Art Center. This concert was the first of the 2009 Hope Sharing Concerts and planned to share hope with local companies’ employees, employers, and foreign workers who suffer from the global economic depression.

Rinnai Pops Orchestra, the only corporately funded orchestra in Korea, performed original music Album from the movies The Mission, Titanic, and Bungee Jumping of Their Own. In addition, the musical singers Jung Hwa-jin and Seo Je-rok were invited and sang songs passionately.

Keimyung University has a plan to hold other concerts for multicultural families and young families without any parents, where the oldest son or daughter is head of the family.

Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. Under the theme, “Arc,” symbolizing growth and vision, the Fashion Show showcased 94 outfits created by Keimyung University’s Fashion Design
French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride. The event provided the students with a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in Korea’s cultural and rural heritage while enjoying memorable outdoor activities.
