Naming Ceremony of ‘Namjung Pottery Lab’

On March 20th, a naming ceremony for ‘Namjung Pottery Lab’ was held in room 200 of the Adams Hall in Daemyung Campus. Many students and professors participated in the ceremony including President Synn Il-hi and a professor from the College of Fine Arts.

The ceremony was intended to celebrate Kim Young-tae, an honorary professor of the Department of Craft Design, for his achievements, and to leave his educational spirit for junior students.

Honorary Professor Kim exerted himself in the cultivation of students through his work related to craft and ceramic arts for 36 years since his he began in 1970. He is also highly appraised for his contribution to Korean ceramic arts through leading The Korea Society of Craft and Daegu Ceramic Artists Association.
