On November 27, Kwon Yung-ho, president of the Interburgo Group and specially appointed professor of FISEP, donated his personal land to Keimyung University. The amount reached approximately 20 billion won, the largest contribution since the foundation of Keimyung. The land is located around Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the area of land (7.4 million pyeong - 2,434,547㎡) amounts to 1.5 times the size of Seongseo campus.

Dr. Kwon said, “My decision to contribute my personal land to Keimyung University originated from my belief that Keimyung University, which has kept a high reputation among provincial private universities, can use the land for more meaningful and useful purposes.”

Jeong Kyoung-tae, a professor in International Commerce, said, “Following Dr. Kwon’s will, we will try to make the best use of the land for local citizens and local development by setting up various educational and research institutes to develop industries related to the environment and the health of the aged.”
