The 46th General Student Council Election


The 46th General Student Council (GSC) election and the 25th General Women's Council (GWC) elections were held on September 20. Yoon Seong-kyu (junior, Department of Food Science and Technology) and Kim Jun-han (sophomore, Department of Energy and Environmental Science) was elected as GSC president and GSC vice-president respectively, and Oh Hyeon-a (junior, Department of Environmental Conservation and Disaster Prevention) was elected as GWC president.

GSC president Yoon Sung-kyu and GSC vice-president Kim Jun-han was elected by gaining 6,228 ballots of approval and 1,688 ballots of dissent. There were 213 of void ballots among the 8,129 ballots cast. GWC president Oh Hyeon-a was elected by gaining 3,186 ballots of approval and 894 ballot of dissent. There were 100 void ballots among the 8,129 ballots cast.

Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
