On September 9, the English Speaking Contest (ESCON) organized by the College of Social Sciences was held at Room 124, the Social Sciences Building, at 12:30 p.m. Seven teams participated in this contest and four professors judged their speeches.
Professor David Lyons, one of the judges in the contest and a professor in the Department of English Language and Literature, said, “The speech contest was a definite success. The contestants put a lot of imagination and preparation into their topics, and they performed very well. It was also good to see other students taking an interest in the contest. I am sure even more students will look to take part the next time it is held.”
Lee Min-guk, a senior from the Department of International Commerce, won the first prize in this contest. The other participants also received prizes.
