On May 20, the Korea Immigration Service selected Keimyung University as a recipient of a Prime Ministerial Citation for social integration of a multi-cultural society at the 3rd Together Day. On May 24, Keimyung University made an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the automobile company Audi AG. It is the first agreement about developing human resources that Audi has made with institutions, companies, or universities in Korea. Keimyung students in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering can intern in Audi for a project to develop Audi sports cars, and it can be connected to getting a job through the internship. On May 10, doctors from various countries, like Yan’an University Hospital in China and Memorial Hospital in India, visited Dongsan Medical Center for a training program about laparoscopic surgery.This training program is part of the domestic training programs by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) for foreign doctors. KHIDI selected 14 medical institutions including Dongsan Medical Center to introduce superior medical techniques.Dongsan Medical Center is taking the initiative in Korean medical skills and helping to introduce Daegu as the medical city.
Keimyung Visa Festival was held from May 24th to the 26th. On the first day, there were many programs such as the opening ceremony, an English speed quiz, a blood donation relay, a performance by the famous singer, Kim Jang-hoon, making natural soap, a job fair about airlines, and a special lecture about the coming of-Age Day. On the second day, there was an announcer test, a campaign to help Africa, and a lecture about foreign country internships. On the final day, there was the 'Visa Star K' singing contest, a feat of super strength performance, a photo exhibition, and a health campaign.
