On August 27th, Keimyung University held a retirement ceremony for long-serving faculty and staff. The staff retirement ceremony was held at Hengso Museum, where three staff members, including Mr. Park Jong-man, retired. President Synn Il-hi expressed his gratitude for their contributions. The faculty retirement ceremony took place at Ui-yang Hall, where six professors, including Professor Kim Yeon-ok, retired. The 2024 Bridge to Keimyung Camp was held from July 9th to 27th. The camp was divided into two sessions. The first session was attended by invitees from external organizations, while the second session included students from partner institutions. These partner students came from various countries. Both sessions featured campus tours and departmental briefings. During the first session, various videos were filmed for production purposes. Each semester, KMU selects Buddy students to assist invited international exchange students and those participating in the semester abroad program with their transition to life in Korea and the univer sity. In early August, a Foreign Language Clinic Pro gram was held at the International Lounge for middle school students. The program was divided into two classes, Japanese and Chinese, and aimed to make for eign language learning easy and enjoyable. KMU stu dents served as tutors, guiding participants through various activities designed to help them engage with the languages in a fun and interactive way.
On August 20th , Keimyung University awarded degrees to a total of 1,387 students, including 1,011 bachelor's degrees, 320 master's degrees, and 56 doctoral degrees. In addition, a special commencement ceremony was held at 11 AM at the Haengso Museum on the same day, dedicated specifically to international students. During this ceremony, 139 international graduates received their degrees, including 58 students from Vietnam and 57 from China, along with students from six other countries.
