    How I Overcome Loneliness?I prefer spending most of my time alone to hanging out with friends. Sometimes, I feel lonely, though. Now, I will tell you some ways I overcome loneliness. First, I spend time with my pet. I raise a dog Cho Co. Taking a walk with my dog helps me get loneliness out of my head and heart as well as helps me to be healthy.   • Major Supermarkets' Compulsory Closing

    Since December 30 last year, the operation time of major supermarkets and super supermarkets has been limited because of the revised Distribution Industry Development Act. Since the act has been in force, major supermarkets and super supermarkets have closed on Sundays twice a month. Their operation time has been limited as well.ProRecently, many people who drop by major supermarkets might have seen the announcement “Regular closing day.” Under the Distribution Industry Development Act, the government is trying to prevent major supermarkets and super supermarkets from monopolizing the market.

  • International Conference of Korean-Japanese Economics & Management Association

    For two days from August 17, the Korean-Japanese Economics & Management Association held the 27th International Conference at Euiyang Hall on Keimyung University Seongseo campus. KMU Industrial Development and Business Administration Institute and the Japanese Economics & Management Association supported it.     Many students participate in extramural activities. They usually do activities by themselves or with a team. One extramural activity is SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise). Most SIFE teams are in capital region universities, and there are few teams in regional universities. In Keimyung University, there aren’t any teams for SIFE yet. The Gazette will introduce SIFE.   • Helping Dementia and Stroke Patients Is Getting Popular

    ‘Healing Story’ that the Siji Geriatrics Hospital and KMU E2 volunteer group serve is getting popular. ‘Healing Story’ is a volunteer work program preformed by E2 volunteer group that serves dementia and stroke patients. Volunteers for this program are selected from contestants in the KMU K-Circle Volunteer Contest. The Siji Geriatrics Hospital organized a school-work link program to help the elderly’s emotional stability and health. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
