KMU held a Korean language and culture camp on Seongseo Campus on August 4. The students came from Switzerland, Japan, and all around Europe.This camp held various programs for three weeks. There were Korean language classes in the morning and various Korean culture classes in the afternoon. Students put on hanbok, did taekwondo, took samulnori lessons, had lessons in K-pop dancing, and went to a jjimjilbang. There was an opening ceremony for the Foundation Support Center in the Wellness Gym on September 2. The services available at the Foundation Support Center are provided by KMU and supported by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. On August 12, KMU was chosen to house The Addiction to Gambling Clinic organized by the Korea Center on Gambling Problems. This service provides methodical prevention, cure and rehabilitation services for gambling addicts. It also informs people through education about the seriousness of the negative and harmful effects of gambling. KMU was selected as the Daegu-Kyungbook Region licensee through last a contest managed by the Korea Center on Gambling Problems in June.
