    Some say the government should allow junior colleges to extend their programs. However, many universities are opposed to it.Pro On April 15, the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) and the Korean Council for College Education (KCCE) debated a bill to extend junior college programs in a room of the National Assembly.   • Relief for Earthquake Victims in Nepal

    Keimyung University staff and students did aid for the earthquake victims in Nepal. Keimyung University Students’ Union and Nepal (2012, 2014) and Laos (2014) global volunteers held a charity donation in front of the campus library from April 28 to May 1.Seo Young-hwa (Department of Law Senior), Keimyung University Students’ Union president, said, “After the Korean War, Korea was able to develop with help from worldwide relief.   • First 2015 Special Work Lecture for Management

    On April 29, a special work lecture was held by the Management Information Department in College of Business Administration building. The title of the lecture was MIS Employment Strategy by Graduates.The speakers were Jang Jin-wook (non-IT) and Lee Seung-hoon (IT), both graduates of the Management Information Department.   • Study Skill-up Program

    A lecture in the Study Skills Program was held in the Multimedia Room in New Bauer Hall on May 14. This SSP (Study Skills Program) was led by Professor Park Jong-duck from the College of Liberal Education. His lecture was Wake Up the Sleeping English in You. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
