  • Three Books Chosen as Sejong Books

    Three books published by Keimyung University Press were chosen as Sejong Books in the scholarship section. Sejong Books has scholarly, cultural, and literature sections. Sejong Scholarship Books is run by the government every year to accelerate scholarly publishing work and to make the foundations of a knowledge society. The book named Wisdom: A Dialog Between Traditional and Modern was selected in the philosophy/ethics/psychologycategory. Professor Kwon Sang-woo from the College of Liberal Education and Professor Um Jin-sung from Yeungnam University co-authored the book. The book named Plants

  • Kim Dong-hwi was selected for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD)

    Kim Dong-hwi (Department of Education) was selected for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) by the U.S. State Department. This program provides part of the expenses such as tuition, airfare, living expenses, and medical insurance to selected students from around the world with ECA (Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) support. Selected students spend one semester or one year as an exchange student in an American university. This time, they selected four students from 500 applicants across Korea.   • Training FTA Experts

    Keimyung University signed an agreement with the Korea Trade Association to train global economy trade experts. Vice Chancellor of Teaching and Learning Lee Jung-hui and Trade Association Executive Director Lee Jae-chul visited Keimyung University’s Sung Seo Campus for the signing.Officials signed the agreement for training FTA experts to help solve the human resource shortage in the trade industry.   • Keimyung Univerisity 116th Anniversary Ceremony

    On May 20 at Adams Chapel, there was a ceremony for the 116th anniversary of Keimyung University. At the beginning, classical music welcomed the visitors. Jung-Sun Moe, chairman of the board, gave awards to certify the achievements of Prof. Park Chang-Il, Prof. Seanan Clifford, and Prof. Yang Geun-Woo, and President Synn Ilhi gave awards to faculty members for their outstanding achievements such as research papers and lectures. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride. The event provided the students with a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in Korea’s cultural and rural heritage while enjoying memorable outdoor activities.
