Keimyung University Startup Support Center and Daegu Metropolitan City held a startup companies EXPO. The event was held from February 17 to 19. It was held in Prime Hall in Debec Plaza. Many startup companies, university clubs, and individuals participated in it. CCTV might possibly lead to invasion of privacy, but it ensures the security of certain places where it is installed. The more it appears in front of us, the more crime scenes can be watched and the more likely criminals can be found. Because of this fact, people will feel safer and actually be safer. Keimyung University’s Hengseo Museum provides a free-term system program that is connected to the history textbooks for elementary, middle and high school students. The Global Innovation Challenge workshop by KMU’s Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation was held at Myunggyo Dormitory on January 29. There were a total of 13 students picked for the Global Innovation Challenge with the students divided into six teams for the workshop. The workshop topic was producing an idea for a prototype and attending a foundation lecture. On the first day, they created a new idea in order to develop its design and prototype production. A skills program for professors was held at Hotel Inter-Burgo from February 2 to 3. The main topic of this program was how to make good teaching materials. The instructor was Choi Young-su from the Korea Presentation Center.The program focused on making materials with PowerPoint and editing video materials. The first day’s topic was PowerPoint. Keimyung University helped local people in the Philippines from January 21 for 10 days. The team from Keimyung University included a professor from Fashion Design, a volunteer from Caritas, and 4 students from Fashion Design. They headed to Negros Islandin the Philippines.
