    Keimyung University Startup Support Center and Daegu Metropolitan City held a startup companies EXPO. The event was held from February 17 to 19. It was held in Prime Hall in Debec Plaza. Many startup companies, university clubs, and individuals participated in it. Successful startup companies and university clubs supported by Keimyung University Startup Support Center prepared exhibition booths. They showed various products.     CCTV might possibly lead to invasion of privacy, but it ensures the security of certain places where it is installed. The more it appears in front of us, the more crime scenes can be watched and the more likely criminals can be found. Because of this fact, people will feel safer and actually be safer.   • Free Term System Experience Program at Hengseo Museum

    Keimyung University’s Hengseo Museum provides a free-term system program that is connected to the history textbooks for elementary, middle and high school students. Hengseo Museum encourages students to join the program and experience history instead of just reading about it.The main program is making pottery and restoring artifacts. Also, students can enjoy the many other programs like the history of museums, making drawings of artifacts and role-playing a curator.   • Global Innovation Challenge Workshop

    The Global Innovation Challenge workshop by KMU’s Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation was held at Myunggyo Dormitory on January 29. There were a total of 13 students picked for the Global Innovation Challenge with the students divided into six teams for the workshop. The workshop topic was producing an idea for a prototype and attending a foundation lecture. On the first day, they created a new idea in order to develop its design and prototype production.   • Teaching Skills Program for Professors

    A skills program for professors was held at Hotel Inter-Burgo from February 2 to 3. The main topic of this program was how to make good teaching materials. The instructor was Choi Young-su from the Korea Presentation Center.The program focused on making materials with PowerPoint and editing video materials. The first day’s topic was PowerPoint. Choi Young-su taught 5 ways to help improve lecture quality and create effective PPT materials. The second day’s topic was editing and creating video materials.   • Volunteering in the Philippines

    Keimyung University helped local people in the Philippines from January 21 for 10 days. The team from Keimyung University included a professor from Fashion Design, a volunteer from Caritas, and 4 students from Fashion Design. They headed to Negros Islandin the Philippines. They taught local people how to make products and sell them.Keimyung University visited Negros Island before with 34 students from July 5 to 18, 2015.   • Heimtextil Participation of Department Textile Design Students

    KMU’s Department of Textile Design Students have participated in the Heimtextil International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles for three years. This year, they participated in Heimtextil 2016 from January 12 to 15 in Frankfurt, Germany.   • Workshop for New Ability Test Support Center

    Keimyung University held a workshop to commemorate the adoption of the Ability Test Support Center in Daegu on December 23 in the Smart Venture Institute. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
