    A special lecture on start-ups was held on May 11 in new Bauer Hall. The lecture was for students who are interested in establishing a business. At the beginning of the lecture, Kim Jong-hwa, the manager of Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, introduced a business which helps young people find jobs. The main lecturer was Lee Jung-wook, who is a member of the national team for flying paper airplanes. He won the championship at the 5th Korea Cup Paper Airplane Festival.   • 2016 International Symposium on Comparative Literature

    On May 27, the 2016 International Symposium on Comparative Literature (the 1st Hengso Forum) was held at Dongcheon Hall. It was sponsored by the National Research Foundation of Korea. Eleven distinguished scholars from Korea, the US, Canada, the UK, Iran, China, and Japan were invited to this symposium. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
