UEA (The University of East Anglia) is located in Norwich, on the south west of London. It takes about 100 minutes from London by train. Founded in 1963 as a part of the British Government's initiative to enlarge the higher education sector, UEA is ranked the 20th in The Times Good University Guide 2007. UEA's aademic thinking was distinctive. For example, the choice of 'Do Different' as UEA's motto was a deliberate plan to look for new other ways to provide better university education. At the heart of UEA's innovative thinking was interdisciplinarity where related subjects are studied in combination with one another. UEA has continued to be academically innovative throughout its
developmental processes.

First of all, the reason why I decided to go abroad as an exchange student was to challenge myself.

I would like to get a good job related with international commerce where I can be well satisfied. However, the aim of my life is not in money itself. I do not want plenty of money, but, instead, I just hope I can enjoy my career and feel happy through it.

I think a lot of students in Keimyung University desire to study abroad as an exchange student. If you want to study abroad, you should first get an open-minded attitude. English is important, but it is not the most important thing. I often compare English or other foreign languages to a driver's licence. Nobody can drive a car well when they are beginners; even though they acquire a driver's licence by getting the highest score in the test for driving, you have to keep practicing. The most important thing is your mental attitude that you have to believe in conquering all the difficulties you might confront such as culture shock, homesickness and the lack of Korean food. Further, you have to learn and study English with your native-speaker friends when you go to study abroad as an exchange student.
