Introducing My Study Group

★ MONSTER

'MONSTER,' the job preparation study group in Keimyung University, has been doing group study activity for the last three years. We try to become competent workers in society, and all members meet everyday except Sundays at 8:00 a.m. at Euiyang Hall.
The nine people major in Business Administration, Consumer Information Science, Computer Engineering, and Journalism and Mass Communication. They aim to get their jobs in large enterprises and financial circles.
MONSTER emphasizes concern in one another and the spirit of unity. Senior students give juniors helpful information and show concern toward the juniors by sharing their real experiences. By living like this, we feel strong ties to one another and pursue the same purpose of getting a good job in the future. We naturally keep warm companionship through sharing time together.
Our dream is to donate scholarships by saving some money from our future income. Thereafter, in ten or twenty years, the total sum would be enough to donate to Keimyung students and later to contribute to Keimyung University's development.
When a new semester begins, MONSTER recruits new members. The recruitment is announced through the Bisa Community or through the job camp homepage in January and July. Regardless of GPA or TOEIC score, MONSTER waits for people who are eager to dream and think of their future job with us.

★ C.E.O. Club

'C.E.O.' (Creative, Economic, Open education) club is a public service group which focuses on creativity education and economics education for young elementary school students. The club consists of twenty four undergraduates including fifteen Keimyung University students who have passion and affectionate hearts. With the cooperation of Goodneighbors, we try to educate sixty low-income elementary school children in Daegu City.
To complement the reliability and specialty of the group, we receive advice and education: creativity education from FPSP (The Korean Future Problem Solving Program) and economics education from Shinhan Bank and the Bank of Korea. Seventeen members of C.E.O. have completed the AbPS (Action-based Problem Solving) course and all other members have received child economics education from the Bank of Korea.
C.E.O. originated to educate talent, especially economically alienated students in society. Through education, the students can get the power to grow out of their difficult reality of life. Presently, the three teams of C.E.O., each with eight members, run classes in Daedong Elementary School and Shinhan Elementary School. The twelve week education program is made up of inductive learning method, like games and many other activities, rather than of typical deductive learning method. As such, students can have problem-solving ability and improve their creativity. C.E.O. recruits members every semester. In May, we will recruit the second semester members.
