Boryeong Mud Festival

In 1996, 16 cosmetics were made out of mud by processing sea mud from a clean mud flat near Daecheon Beach. It was found that Boryeong mud has high concentrations of a lot of beneficial components such as germanium, bentonite and minerals, as well as far-infrared radiation, that are excellent for skin. To inform people about the excellence of Boryeong mud and to promote local areas including Daecheon Beach, this festival was created and first held in July 1998. There are more than 15 mud activities and events to experience at this festival. Some of the typical activities are soaking in the large mud bath and mud sliding. Common events include, a mud wrestling contest, and a mud skiing contest.

Holding a Snack Sharing Event for International Students From October 23 to 24, 2023, a snack sharing event was held at KMU's Dong-yeong Hall to cheer for the midterm exams of foreign students. The event was hosted by KMU's International Student Council and the International Cooperation Team.
