To be a certified labor attorney, you have to get certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The first test is labor law 1 and labor law 2, civil law, and the Social Insurance Act. The elective subjects are principles of economics or business administration theory. An English grade is also needed. The English tests are TOEFL (PBT above 530, CBT above 197, IBT above 71), TOEIC above 700, TEPS above 625, TELP Level 2 above 65, and FLEX above 625. If candidates pass the first test, they have to take a second test. The second test is labor law and human resources management theory. The elective subjects are management organization theory, labor economics, or the Civil Proceedings Act. If candidates pass this test, then they become certified labor attorneys.
