1. How is your campus life?

I usually spend time doing my assignments. And I’m a member of a tennis club, so I enjoy playing tennis as a leisure activity in my spare time from Mondays through Fridays. Also, I often spend time visiting other areas like Gyeongju, which has many ruins of the Silla period, to know more about Korean culture and traditions. Therefore, I think I’m enjoying a fun and satisfying campus life.

2. How is your Korean language class?

The teacher is humorous and the class is quite satisfying. However, I think the class needs to teach more sentences and words used in daily life. And I have trouble in telling the pronunciation of “ㅔ” from “ㅐ” and “게” and “개.” However, I learn and study hard because I have so much interest in Korean. Therefore, I got a satisfying result that is 21 points out of 30. I will take the Korean language course again next semester.

3. What is your most memorable experience in Korea?

I went on a temple pilgrimage with Eun-kyung, who is my buddy, on November 11. Her mother invited me. We visited Namjang Temple in Sangju, and Yongmun Temple and Hoeryongpo in Yecheon. I ate many new foods like ginseng, acorn-starch jelly, cheonggukjang, and persimmon. It is the most memorable experience to me. It was an amazing experience because I had never experienced Buddhist culture.

4. What is your worst experience in Korea?

Coming from Seoul to Daegu was really hard. My airplane from Seoul to Daegu was delayed because of the typhoon which came on my first day in Korea. Therefore, I had difficulty finding somewhere to sleep in Seoul. Besides, I was tired because my flight took over 15 hours from France to Korea via Dubai. This is my worst experience in Korea.
