Scholarship System
1. Excellent Grade Scholarship

The excellent grade scholarships are given to students who get high grades. The scholarship is supervised by the dean of each college. There are three kinds of scholarship, Truth, Justice, and Love. Each one has a different amount of scholarship. Truth gives all of tuition, Justice gives half tuition, and Love gives one-third tuition.
If you don’t have an official approved English test like TOEIC or TOEFL, you cannot receive a scholarship even if you get a high grade. Also, if you have an F, you cannot receive a scholarship.

2. Working Scholarship

The working scholarship is given to students who work in Keimyung University. Early every semester and every vacation, Keimyung University recruits working students. Students who want to work must submit documentary evidence to show their financial status. Students who want to apply for this scholarship should go to the administration of their college and submit the documents. The selected students work for 150 hours in the appointed period. The students work in the library or a department and support the department’s work.

3. Study Scholarship

The study scholarship is offered every semester. A student who wants to apply for the scholarship must have a GPA of more than 2.00. The purpose of this scholarship is to support low income students. If they have excellent grades, they can receive the excellent grade scholarship. This scholarship supports low income students who have a good grade. The students must study more than 12 credits. Also the student does volunteer work for more than 50 hours. Then the student gets the same amount of scholarship as the excellent grade scholarship. If a study scholarship student doesn’t get a satisfactory grade, is disciplined for cheating in an exam or drinking in the University, or doesn’t complete 50 hours of volunteer work, the student cannot get the scholarship. If a student takes the following semester off, he or she cannot accept the scholarship.

The working scholarship is paid through the student’s bank account. The method of giving the scholarship is different to others. Others are paid through tuition. A student who receives the excellent grade scholarship can also receive the working scholarship. However, a student who receives the excellent grade scholarship can’t receive the study scholarship. In the case of two scholarships, students choose one.
