Classical Concert

There are two kinds of performances taking place. One is a pop singer’s concert and the other is a classical concert. When you hear the word ‘classical’, do you imagine boring music? If so, please read on. I will tell you how to become more familiar with classical concerts.
When we listen to pop music, we can enjoy it even though we haven’t prepared anything in advance. On the contrary, the reason that classical music can feel difficult to listen to is that classical music is not often made in modern times. However, if you remember just three things before going to a classical concert, it won’t seem boring anymore.

1. Listen to the music in advance before going to the concert!
If you go to the concert without knowing about the music that will be played, the concert will be boring. However, if you listen to the albums of a performing artist before going, you will be able to get an interesting experience, comparing the performance in the album with that of the concert. It will be helpful to you if you listen to the latest album or the performer’s most highly regarded album.

2. Check the programs of the concert in the pamphlet in advance!
All the information about the concert is contained in the pamphlet so you can know what tunes will be performed and know about the performers. Therefore, you will understand more about the concert by just browsing through the pamphlet.

3. Choose your seat differently according to the genre of the concert!
You may think that the seats at the front are always the best. However, if you select your seat according to the kind of concert, you can have a better experience. For example, if a concert is a recital, choose a seat which is closest to the stage as you can even hear a performer’s breathing, while if a concert is played by an orchestra, choose a back seat on the first floor because the sound will be clearer.
