Letters from Readers

Hello, the Gazette

First of all, I want to say thanks to the Gazette because the Gazette always provides new information and various news to me. When I first read the Gazette, I felt the English in the Gazette was easier than other English newspapers. In addition, the Gazette has various pictures and diversified sections. I decided to write this letter as a reader to introduce the Gazette to other Keimyung students. First, as I have said above, the Gazette has various corners. Personally, I think the best sections are the Movie Review and Art & Culture. I always look forward to the next issue to try to solve the puzzle. Sometimes, I do not give up trying to solve them even when they are so hard to solve.

Second, the Gazette makes me more familiar with English. Before I read the Gazette, English was hard for me as I’m not good at English. A possible improvement to the Gazette would be for it to make new corners such as one for foreign students. For example, in one issue, Korean students can write about something that they want to introduce. In the next issue, foreign exchange students could share something with Koreans.

Finally, I hope that the Gazette will be loved by many Keimyung readers, including me, for a long time to come.

Introducing my friend, the Gazette

I decided to contribute to thisGazette letter because I wanted to introduce my friend, the Gazetteto other Keimyung readers. have always respected people who are good at English, so I tried to enhance my English level through them. For example, I listened to many pop songs, wrote English diaries, spoke to many foreign friends, and read many English writings. These things were very useful to me but very difficult and required much time. So I wanted to find other methods through which I can study English more easily. At that time, I found the Gazette.

Initially it was very hard to understand, but gradually I came to become more familiar to my friend. I could broaden my thinking though reading theGazette. As it is published by student reporters and written for students at Keimyung, the level of it is perfect for university students, and it is so interesting for Keimyung students. What is better, theGazette is very exciting. Sometimes, the Gazette teaches English in a very friendly way and informs us of news of Keimyung people’s voices. That’s why I would like to introduce my good friend, the Gazette, to everyone. Needless to say, meeting the Gazette at first can be difficult, of it like I experienced.

However, you´ll soon get used to it and will become a good friend like me, and your English level will be upgraded day by day. Come and don’t be shy and scared of meeting the Gazette. Don’t hesitate and encourage yourself! The Gazette is always open to become a good friend of yours. Why don’t you try to make friends with the Gazette?
