A music recital and a lecture on the Mapuche, who are the original inhabitants of Chile, were held under the auspices of the Department of Spanish Language and Central and South American Studies in Euiyang Hall on October 2.

Lorenzo Aillapan Cayuleo performed traditional Mapuche music and dance. He said, "Mapuche music and dance signify the hope to be a good person." He also said, "Please, be interested in Central and South American cultures."
