On April 27, an event was held to celebrate World Book and Copyright Day on the first floor of Dongsan Library. This event gave a red rose to anyone who returned 115 books from KMU's education collection to the library by using the auto book lending machine. Additionally, there was a quiz about the Dongsan Library and a lottery for some prizes. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. many students participated in this event.

Attendee Kim Min-ji majoring in taxation said, "I can get to know about World Book and Copyright day so I hope that many people join this event."

April 23 was established as World Book and Copyright Day by UNESCO. This day is also St. George's Day, on which people in Spain get red roses for buying books, as well as the day Shakespeare and Cervantes dies.
