KODIT is the abbreviation of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. The government felt an institution was necessary to support small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, the government founded KODIT in 1976. Financial clerks in KODIT do various work to support small and medium-sized companies.

Role
The main work of KODIT is to guarantee small and medium-sized enterprises because they have weaker ability to repay debt than big companies. If a company applies for a guarantee to KODIT, financial clerks plan how to investigate whether the company is eligible for a guarantee. After planning, they collect data about the company, analyze the data, and then rate its credit. If the conditions of the company are good, KODIT issues a written guarantee to a bank. Moreover, financial clerks provide management consulting services to small and medium-sized enterprises in an attempt to enhance their competitiveness and productivity.

To be a financial clerk in KODIT, applicants must have a B grade average, including master’s degrees. Additionally, applicants must get 500 on TOEIC or 416 on TEPS or 56 on TOELF and have discharged their military duty or be exempt from military duty. If those conditions are met, applicants take written exams, which are a basic employee ability test and a job performance test. The basic employee ability test is about communication ability, problem-solving skills, and mathematics and Korean history. The job performance test is about finance, economics, and law. If applicants pass the written exam, there are two interviews. In the first interview, applicants stay in a camp for one day for an interview, debate, and a presentation. After applicants pass the first interview, applicants do a second interview about personality, the ability to adapt to the organization, and the ability to do the job

Prospects
