Keimyung University National Cultural Properties

On February 24, Dongsan Library’s 46 ancient books were selected as national properties by the Cultural Heritage Administration. This is because Keimyung University has systematically collected ancient writings to further the study of Koreanology. Through this, Keimyung has been recognized for playing a pivotal role in collecting and preserving ancient writings.

The chief librarian of Dongsan Library, Park Myung-ho, said, “By discovering national cultural assets, we are going to invigorate Koreanology and update the ancient writings we have on our Website to share our precious cultural heritage with scholars and the public.”

Now, Keimyung has more than 70,000 ancient writings. Furthermore, the University has become a center of Koreanology.

This fact was broadcast by KBS, MBC, and TBC. If you want to get more information about the broadcasts, you can see the broadcasts at “Hot News” on Keimyung University Webzine.
