The origin of the festival goes back to April 13, 1952, when a statue of Admiral Lee Sun-shin was erected in his memory at Bukwon Rotary.
Since 1963, annual memorial ceremonies have been held to commemorate his patriotic spirit, and it has become one of the typical spring events in the Jinhae festival. On April 4, to enjoy the festival and cherry blossoms, I took the last train to Jinhae.

From Park Land, an amusement park, to Jinhae Girl's High School, 1.5km of cherry blossoms make a tunnel. It was a beautiful sight. It was less crowded than the downtown of Jinhae, and it was more enjoyable to take a walk along the tunnel.
I would highly recommend you to visit Jinhae not only because of its beautiful nature but also for its long history. To enjoy more attractive spring sights of Korea, I recommend you to visit Jinhae without any hesitation.
