On April 5, the 17th Kyungju Cherry Marathon was held in front of Kyungju World Culture Expo. Sponsored by Kyungju city and the Sports Hochi, a Japanese newspaper, the marathon included full course, half course, 5 km and 10 km courses, and a walking course. 13,000 people participated, including 800 Japanese people.

Ninety Keimyung people ― Lee Jin-woo, the president of KMU, members of main administration, professors' marathon club and Keimyung club ― participated in the marathon.
