On March 20, the Spanish ambassador to Korea, Ambassador Delfin Colome, visited Keimyung University to sign an educational cooperation agreement between Keimyung University and major universities in Spain.
Ambassador Colome stated that outstanding professors from Keimyung and major Spanish universities will be exchanged through the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI). Keimyung University will sign a cooperation agreement with Castilla-La Mancha University in Spain.
After the signing of the cooperation agreement, Ambassador Colome lectured about Spain and Korea in Haengso Museum. He spoke about commonalities between Spain and Korea in three ways: historical facts, economy development speed, and politic values.
Keimyung University established Spanish Latin American Studies this year. Of the 250 freshmen who entered the College of International Studies, 30 students will begin Spanish Latin American Studies next year. In the Department of Spanish Latin American Studies, they will also study about the history, geography, environment, and culture of Central and South America.
