Keimyung University’s Worldwide Internship Program

In 2007, Keimyung University will start the Worldwide Internship Program (WIP) to improve students’ abilities and competitive powers. A presentation about WIP was held on November 28 in Euiyang Hall. The Center for Student Development manages WIP and it is sponsored by Hospitality Korea (HOSKO) and Internexus. HOSKO offers hotel internships, and Internexus offers internships in various fields such as marketing, media, advertisement, IT, law, accounting, trade, engineering, sport, and fashion. Our university decided that students can go on internship for one semester to either America, England, Japan or China. Students will receive credit for 15 ~ 18 units from all majors except for Medicine and Education. The Center for Student Development said that the exact amount of money hasn’t been decided yet, however, our university is expected to cut their tuition fees. If you want to apply for WIP, you have to have completed over 4 semesters and have an average GPA of 3.0. Depending upon the country you want to go, the following language scores are needed: TOEIC 500, TOEFL 185, TEPS 450, JLPT third grade, and HSK third grade. You can submit the application to the Center for Student Development until December 8.
