The musical Hades Town, which premiered on Broadway in March 2019, will be performed in Korea for the first time. You can see it at the Keimyung Art Center on the stage where the original creative team participated.
“Hades town is a reinterpretation of the Greek and Roman stories of Orpheus, Eurydice, Persephone, and Hades with a modern take. It premiered on Broadway in New York in April 2019 and was nominated in 14 categories at the 73rd Tony Awards in the same year. And as if proving its popularity, it won eight categories, including the Best Musical Award, and was honored to be named the most award-winning work in the Tony Awards that year.
The musical Hades Town is based on Greek and Roman mythology that many people know. However, a more in-depth work was created by adding modern reinterpretation to this well-known myth. If you know the contents of Greek and Roman mythology, you can enjoy the musical even more.
