KMU will hold the 4th AsiaㆍPacific Ocean International Chopin Piano Competition in May 2018. The finalists will participate in the competition from May 9th to May 18th for 10 days. On May 18th, there will be a gala concert, an award ceremony, and a concert for the winners in the Keimyung Art Center. The KMU AsiaㆍPacific Ocean International Chopin Piano Competition is held every three years starting with the first competition in 2009 and has been evaluated as having been established as a world-class competition welcoming its 4th competition. In addition, from this year the Chopin Association of Poland has been designated as the official partner for the first time in Asia and will add international status and credibility. Shin Il-hee, president of KMU said, “We hope that this competition will greatly contribute to discovering talented musicians from all over the world and a cultural exchange and friendship between nations.”
