Keimyung University has changed some scholarship regulations to become more competitive and to provide more variety in the scholarships offered. Scholarships for the disabled and scholarships for disabled helpers were launched. Scholarships for the disabled are limited to people with grade one to three disabilities, and scholarships for disabled helpers require recommendations from the disabled and the chief of Student Affairs. Scholarship students who concede their scholarship money to students with financial needs have in the past received special benefits like job recommendations and participation in exchange student programs. In addition to those benefits, they will now receive an official honorary certificate. Finally, the range of scholarships has been extended to students who pass national examinations.

Together with existing scholarships, there are now scholarships for the tax accountant examination, the patent attorney examination, the judical scrivener examination, and several other certified public servant examinations. Keimyung University is considering adding certified foreign language test scores to GPA scholarship requirements from next year.
