From October 20 to 23, Keimyung University Department of Textile Design participated in the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Autumn Edition 2014, which is the one of the largest fashion fabric exhibitions in the world. 30 countries and 3,800 companies participated in the Shanghai exhibition.
KMU is the first university to enter this exhibition. KMU Department of Textile Design submitted 4 concept designs. Chinese and foreign buyers bought some of the works. In addition, a professor who belongs to the Department of Arts and Design in Dongwha University in China suggested participating together in China Textiles Expo and exchanging works.
Ha Ji Yeon, who is a professor in the Department of Textile Design, said, “This exhibition has value because it helps us figure out the trend of the fashion market and get opportunities to collaborate with many foreign companies.”
