Keimyung University President Synn Il-hi announced the opening of Daegu Dalseo-gu Food Service Center for Children, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Food and Drug Saftey and Daegu Dalseo-gu.

On January 21st, the center opening ceremony was held in Keimyung University’s Hengso Museum with Keimyung President Synn Il-hi, Chief of Dalseo-gu Gwak Dae-hun, Daegu Regional Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) Chief Kim In-gyu and 100 other people attending.

The center is located at the Academic-Industrial Cooperation Office at Keimyung University and will be jointly managed by KMU and Daegu Dalseo-gu. The center has been created to implement the Special Act on Children’s Eating Habits Safety Management.

The Food Service Center will develop programs for kindergartens and focus on healthy menus, educational resources for nutrition and cleanliness, and a system for operating the educational program and controlling food services.
