The Leaders team, Department of Media and Information, won the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family prize of 1,500,000 won in the Korea Youth UCC (User Created Contents) Camp which was held for the Daegu World Athletics Championships.

This event included programs such as making Daegu maps, a green tour, and a youth club festival. Young people from all over the country made images of Daegu heritage sites and tourist spots in Daegu. Eighty-five teams participated in this competition.

In the UCC video Leaders made, the main character gives an application “Hello Daegu” to tourists visiting Daegu to watch the Daegu World Athletics Championships. He helps them to see sights conveniently by public transportation. Moreover, in the video, an electronic display in Dongseong Road gives information about the championships and sightseeing. People can also search for desired information by touching the electronic display.

Do Eon-seok, whose major is Media and Information said, “Since I had to make the video of two and a half minutes within two nights and three days, I didn’t have much time. However, I will never forget the camping experience with participating teams in Gukchaebosang Memorial Park.”

Kim Sung-woo, a team representative, said, “I received the Silver Prize at the 1st Korea Youth UCC Camp last year. I’m pleased to receive a better result than the last competition.”
