Professor Kim Han Soo, of the Department of Urban Planning at Keimyung University was selected as the new chairman of the Korean Territory City Planning Society in Daegu and North Gyeonsang province at the regular meeting held at Keimyung University on August 15, 2011.

The Korean Territory City Planning Society, which was founded in 1959 to contribute to research and development in designing cities and local regions, has contributed much in many ways by constructing many roads, highways, buildings and parks, and has developed new strategies and theories in designing cities and local regions. The KCI (Korea Citation Index) published by the Korean Territory City Planning Society ranks national land planning and is the number one academic journal in Korea.
