On June 9, regional representatives of 97 leading companies, KMU president Synn Il-hi, and 120 officials attended the inauguration ceremony which was held in Euiyang Hall on Seongseo Campus.

The ceremony is important in terms of supporting lots of Industry-University collaboration policies by constructing a ‘hub’ that systemically manages the network.
The supporting programs include many aspects such as a family business collaboration system construction, R&D (research and development) businesses, expansion of CEO (chief executive officer) professors, and a family company scholarship.

These contrast to those established programs which supported many characteristic strategies such as the standard industry-cooperation pattern, supporting research activities, industry technical manpower re-education, and work experience.
Through this policy, KMU is aiming to increase family companies by up to 700 in 2012.
