On May 4, SK C&C (Total IT service enterprise) vice-president, Jeong Jae-hyeon, explained ways to cope with the rapidly changing times in a special lecture held in Euiyang Hall. The topic of the lecture was "Innovation and Leadership". President Synn Il-hi, faculty members, students, and more than 350 people attended the special lecture.
Jeong said, "The world is changing much faster than you can imagine." Then, he cited an example: "After the invention, it took 50 years for the telephone, 38 years for radio, 22 years for TV, 12 years for mobile phones, 7 years for the Internet, and 2 years for SNS (social network services) to be used by 50 million people." Also, he said, "the current paradigm shift (changes in the values of society as a whole) in the world is simultaneously happening."
Finally, he advised that, "You must always keep in mind the global market and prepare for the connections among each industry with an open mind.
