On December 3, Lee Un-koo, Hyundae automotive’s vice president, gave a special lecture in the engineering building. The topic was the expected attitude of engineers in the future. Many mechanical automotive engineering students and professors listened to the lecture.
Lee Un-koo said that, recently, development of technology has been found to cause environmental change. In particular, carbon dioxide emissions have been linked to climate change. The environment should be protected by developing alternative sources of energy.
Furthermore, Lee Un-koo explained that future engineers will need to be experts in their fields. Requirements for experts are will-power, patience, and talent. He said that we should also strive to have positive mind.
