On November 27, the final debate contest hosted by Keimyung University was held in Shattuck Hall. The final contestants had a heated discussion for 50 minutes.

There were two different topics which were the abolition of the death penalty in the first round and semi-final and conscientious objection to military service in the quarterfinal and final. They selected pro and con through a lottery before the contest. The winner of each contest was selected by College of Architectural Studies professors.

The awards ceremony began after the final in Shattuck Hall. The team members who won the top prize were Son Hyuk-joon (Dept. of Pre-medicine), Sung Joo-young (Dept. of Pre-medicine), and Sung Ji-yoon (Dept. of Pre-medicine). The team members who won the second prize were Choi Yoon-hyo (Dept. of Law), Park Nam-jae (Dept. of Creative Writing), and Seo A-ra (Faculty of Undeclared Majors). The first prize was 1,000,000 won and second prize was 500,000 won.

Dean of the College of Architectural Studies Choi Jae-sung said he was surprised at the students’ logical opinion delivery.
