Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ) selected Keimyung University as a performer for the International Cultural Industrial District in Daemyeong-dong, Namgu, Daegu which is one of the 11 international cultural industry districts.

Keimyung University and DGFEZ announced that they made an agreement called a 'Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation about International Cultural Industry Development District'.

According to the agreement, DGFEZ will designate Keimyung University as a development practitioner and by 2014 complete the development of the international cultural industry district by obtaining its approval from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy by the first half of next year. The place will be developed in game contents and culture-related businesses by 2014.

DGFEZ stated, "This district will be the place for the free economic zone creating knowledge-driven contents."
