On May 24, Keimyung University made an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the automobile company Audi AG. It is the first agreement about developing human resources that Audi has made with institutions, companies, or universities in Korea. Keimyung students in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering can intern in Audi for a project to develop Audi sports cars, and it can be connected to getting a job through the internship. In addition, Jens Steingräber, the head of the Audi sports car project, was appointed a special professor of the College of Engineering in Keimyung.
Keimyung will collaborate on R&D (Research and Development) with Ingolstadt University in Germany, which is closely related to Audi AG, and each will recognize the credits earned at the other university.
Audi AG chose Keimyung because of its 20 years experience in the field of mechanical and automotive engineering. Audi AG is interested in Keimyung’s intelligent automobile project.
President Synn said, “Both universities and enterprises have great expectations of and interest in this MOU with Audi AG because it is the first agreement with Audi AG in Korea.”
