NPO Leadership Program

The Graduate School of Policy Studies started the “Keimyung and Yuhan-Kimberly NPO (Non Profit Organization) Leadership Course” to train the next generation of female local community leaders on March 24.

This program is for women who have experience in a civic group in the Youngnam area. As part of the Scholarship Program for Female NGO Leaders of the Future, it is supported by the Korea Foundation for Women and Yuhan-Kimberly. The Graduate School of Policy Studies was selected to supervise the organization of this program.

Twelve experts and scholars will participate in this program as instructors and teach many subjects such as improving society, leadership, leadership characteristics, writing a business plan, and discussion. The classes are held in Daemyung campus for 3 hours a week. The classes will be take place 11 times a semester.

On March 24, the opening ceremony was held in room 101 at the main building of Daemyung campus. Lee Eun-uk, Yuhan-Kimberly vice president, and other honored guests delivered a congratulatory address. Yuhan-Kimberly contributed to the scholarship fund, and the Secretary General of the Korea Foundation for Women gave a special lecture entitled “Female Leadership of NPOs in the Global Era.” Keimyung University plans to graduate 30 students on June 1 and 30 more by November 30.
